With all families you get to see lots of love and affection on display and this one was no exception. We wanted to capture that beautiful family love in these photos, where you can see this young boy showing his love for each of his parents.

Very young children, like this young lad, have super short attention spans. The only way we were able to get these lovely photos was by letting him run around and have lots of fun in-between the ‘proper’ photos, as you can see from this ‘time to play at a photoshoot‘ post.

Having a laugh during a couples photoshoot

Once we’d finished the main photos with this couple, we thought we’d have some fun. We started with a running jump, which wasn’t quite as successful as we’d hoped, but it was such a laugh by the time we’d finished. We then moved onto a piggy back, then finally a loving photo to finish off.

More photos from our family photoshoot in the park during the summer. Some of these were our ideas, whilst some were the daughter’s ideas – we always try to encourage children to give us their suggestions, as it makes them feel really valued, which does wonders for their self-esteem, as well as keeping their attention.

A beautiful family photoshoot in the summer

On a summer’s evening in the park, with some natural green backgrounds, we had a lovely family photoshoot of this young lady and her parents, which looked great in beautiful wall art.

As usual, we find we can only create this lovely memories after allowing children to have time to play – she was at the age where she was happy to try lots of things, as you can see from our other blog post – Acrobatics in the park.

Summer photoshoot of a young couple

On a summer’s evening, with the sun low in the sky, we had some great fun on this outdoor photoshoot of a young couple in the park. As usual we spent most of the time creating a range of great photos of the two of them together. But once we’d finished we then did some solo portraits of each of them.

We like to have fun at our photoshoots

We know that most people are nervous at the thought of a photoshoot – particularly when they arrive and meet someone they’ve never met before. This lady was fairly quiet when we met, and a little anxious about the photoshoot we were about to do together. Therefore, during the first half of the photoshoot we took our time to get to know each other, giving her a lot of direction on how to pose.

After a while, once she’d seen some of the photos we were creating, she began to trust us and she became happy to try out some more informal things. We agreed to spend a few minutes just having some fun, so this willing participant had a great time doing some fabulous jumping poses during this photoshoot, which we feel look so good and really show off her inner personality.

Did someone say anxious and lacking in confidence?!?!
