These beautiful photos of a young girl were part of a studio portrait session. Both of these photos capture the lovely cheekiness snd cuteness of this young girl during this photoshoot in the studio. The first of these two was enlarged and displayed as wall art in their living room for several years for all to see.

Little Miss Santa
Posted onUse a Santa fancy dress costume for a toddler at Christmas and you can be sure the occasion will not be a quiet one. However, it was great fun as everyone was filled with festive spirit. These photos went on to become a family Christmas card for friends and relatives.
A young girl in the studio
Posted onWhen we do these family photoshoots we’ll often get the child’s parents to stand right behind us, as it’s a good way to get their child’s attention. We have to be really careful to have the parent right behind the camera, so that when their child looks into their parent’s eyes it genuinely looks as though they’re looking at the camera.
Halloween fancy dress
Posted onAs Halloween approached we were asked to take some themed, seasonal portrait photos of a young girl wearing halloween-themed fancy dress. The pumpkin is a great accessory, as it says ‘Halloween’ immediately.
Although the Christmas photoshoot is the most common seasonal photoshoot, we’re beginning to find we find more families are choosing to have a Halloween Photoshoot. Now that Halloween has become so much more popular over recent years, families are keen to create some lasting Halloween memories with their children.
Balls!
Posted onProps are always great to have in photos. On this occasion a ball pit became really useful to add some variety.
Natural outdoor family portrait of a group of cousins
Posted onThis was an outdoor portrait session of a group of cousins together. They didn’t often meet as a group, so the parents wanted a photo that caught them all together, but in a setting that was as natural as possible. We went to a nearby field and got them to fool around for a few minutes until they were feeling right at home in front of the camera.
Studio portraits of a young girl
Posted onThis was quite a long studio session, to make sure we created some really good portrait photos as part of a collection that could be displayed in a family album, as well as with a couple framed pieces of art on their walls. Many of these photos were slightly posed, as a way of helping make this toddler look really cute. However, as is our approach to working with families, we do everything we can to get down to their level and work at their speed to keep them fully engaged in the whole experience.
Portrait photo of a toddler wearing a wig
Posted onOK, so a wig for a child is not an easy thing to get hold of, but just bring along any fun accessory you have that you or your children like them wearing. We won’t use accessories continually, but they do add variety to your photos and, if they’re something your child really likes, they’ll make the photos more personal and treasured for you in the years to come when you look back at how your child was at that time.
Young girl with a daisy
Posted onA trip to Hughenden Park in High Wycombe in the summer proved to be the ideal location to get some good informal photos of a young girl exploring the outdoors. These two photos show her fascination with something as simple as a daisy in the field, as she explores the new things around her in nature.
A happy baby Tigger!
Posted onIn this family photoshoot of a young girl she was dressed in a lovely colourful Tigger dressing gown, which really stands out against the bright white background in the studio.
