The Photo Session

During our dog photo sessions we'll take an off-road walk to a few outdoor locations that'll give you a range of backgrounds to make your dog look its best. Depending on the season, weather and location these could be green, brown, or a combination of both, to give you a variety of colours.

NOTES FOR THE SESSION:
  • PHOTO CHOICE - the range of photos from which you can choose what to buy (the price of these is not included in the Session Fee),
  • SESSION FEE - the retainer to secure the session itself (the price of any photos / wall art / presentation boxes / albums that you choose to buy is in addition to this Session Fee),
  • NUMBER OF PETS - the above prices are for one pet - we can accomodate more than one pet, but the price will change,
  • EXAMPLE BACKGROUNDS - these are examples to give you a taster - the weather, location, season and behaviour of your dog will affect what we actually have on the day,
  • WALK - this is an easy walk, however, it will be in woods and/or fields so these can sometimes be muddy, depending on the weather,
  • DURATION - these times are only a guide - with some dogs we can work quickly - with others, who are very energetic or shy, it can take longer,
  • PEOPLE - because dogs get easily distracted, particularly by children, we ask that only the dog's owner is present at the Session.

Optional Extras

These are great fun, both for you and your dog - they involve your dog getting active, so this will only suit some dogs. If you have an energetic dog, they'll love these, as they're super enjoyable to do. These can be added to any Session, however, they must be arranged in advance.

  • TIME - these durations are very much a guess, as it' i's so dependent on your dog's willingness to do these activities, as well as the weather, season and location (and any distractions, such as squirrels or other dogs!),
  • ADVICE - the health and welfare of your dog is the most important consideration, so please only choose one of these extras if you know your dog is happy doing these activities.

Our Process for Dog Photo Sessions

STEP1
GET IN TOUCH
  • either give us a call on 07900-276579 or get in touch by email so we can arrange an initial chat over the phone.
STEP2
INTRO PHONE CALL
  • we'll have a quick chat to understand why you want a photoshoot and how you want to display the artwork around your home,
  • we'll also want to know a little bit about your dog,
  • we'll then talk about our approach and whether we feel we're a good fit for what you're after,
  • finally we'll show you a few of our products that we think might meet your needs and let you know our prices,
  • for your time and convenience, we'll do this by phone or via Zoom.
STEP3
CONSULTATION CALL
  • once you've decided to proceed, we'll ask you to pay the Session Fee and sign the Contract with us - we'll then reserve the time slot of your Session for you, so that no-one else can book it,
  • we'll arrange a Consultation Call with you, which we'll aim to do via Zoom (but if that's not possible we can do it by phone),
  • on the call we'll want to get to know more about your dog's personality - we'll also be keen to understand how confident / timid / energetic they are - we're dog owners, so we realise the more we know about your dog, the more we can help them (and you) to be as happy as possible during the session,
  • we'll discuss the locations that we believe will work best to get you what you need,
  • we'll then talk about the session itself and what to expect, as well as answer any questions you might have,
  • finally, we'll have a chat through some of our products to see what appeals to you - this is so that we have these in mind during the session, to make sure we create the photos that you need (but don't worry, you won't need to make any commitment to anything at this stage - you won't have to do that until the Ordering Consultation, where you'll only buy what you want, after having seen it),
  • we can sometimes combine this Consultation with the Intro Phone Call, if you're already made your mind up to proceed during the Intro Call.
STEP4
PREPARING FOR YOUR PHOTO SESSION
  • in advance of the session we'll send you a Welcome Pack, containing instructions for the session, as well as one of our digital magazines that includes advice on preparing for a dog photoshoot,
  • if we haven't covered all of our questions during the Intro Phone Call, we might send you a simple questionnaire to complete, so we can find out a few more details about your dog,
  • it's important to us that you feel prepared and comfortable, so during this time leading up to the Session we'll be available to you by phone and email, should you have any questions you wish to discuss - and don't worry, please ask us anything - there's no such thing as a 'stupid question'.
STEP5
THE PHOTO SESSION
  • generally our sessions last 1-2 hours, though the duration is usually 'dog-dependent' or weather-dependent - but of course it can also be affected by how many other people, dogs (or squirrels!) we see,
  • we run these sessions in two locations - either in the fields and woods around Beaconsfield - or in Hughenden Park in High Wycombe,
  • we'll usually walk for around 1 mile on country paths, or grass, though we can vary this if either you or your dog have mobility issues,
  • as dog owners, we know you'll feel worried when you turn up, as you might be wondering "I've never been able to get a good photo of my dog" - or perhaps you might be worried that "My dog will never sit still long enough for a photo". Well don't worry, we'll work with you to make sure your furry friend is comfortable and enjoying themselves, so that we can get some lovely photos.
STEP6
ORDERING CONSULTATION
  • this will usually take place 1-2 weeks after the session, depending on availability,
  • we'll show you the range of photos that we've created together,
  • we'll then discuss any wall art, albums or presentation boxes that you're interested in displaying around your home,
  • we'll give you whatever advice you need, such as as the sizing of wall art, the colours of frames and mounts, or the choice of presentation box,
  • you can then place an order to purchase any items that you'd like - we have a 'no-pressure approach', as we only want you to order what you like - that decision is up to you,
  • for your time and convenience, we'll do this via Zoom.
STEP7
YOUR PRODUCTS
  • once you've decided which items you want to order we'll send you an invoice,
  • after you've paid the invoice, we'll ask you to confirm each item before we place the final order,
  • we aim to deliver orders within 6 weeks of the final order being made,
  • you'll then be the proud owner of some lovely wallart, presentation boxes or albums.
